How I Started a New day – Day 8

leave a comment »

Hang on I did not stop my jogging. I am back on track after 8 days gap. I don’t want to give reasons of why I could not do jogging. I know nothing can stop me if I really want to do except myself.

I don’t expect wonders out of jogging like reducing weight by 5 kg or so. I do it to keep myself active, light & energetic. Surely my investment of time & energy will give best results later in life.

I felt that today’s speed of jogging was not as good as previous days. The gap was the main reason. I don’t feel guilty about not keep my own commitment as there is no point of feeling guilty now. As the phrase says ‘Actions speaks louder than words’.

What if you miss one day still there is another day to do what you love to do 🙂

How I Started a New day – Day 7

I understood the meaning of word ‘Technique’.

Today while jogging I changed my posture & bent little front to get the speed equal to my husband. Actually running in this posture increased my speed considerably.  In result you can run faster than your normal speed.

No wonder I could complete the same round in 2 minutes & finished jogging in 15 minutes instead of 20 minutes

How I started a New day – Day 6

How I am alive without morning tea? I never imagined my days  without a strong cup of tea.

Eventually new habits will turn into new lifestyle which will benefit in long run. Was it difficult? I don’t think so. Quitting any habit which you think is not good for you are really easy, the difficult part is to maintain them & that’s what my trial with this jogging exercise & morning tea. I want to see how long I can continue jogging without any long break. I agree that there will be breaks but that should not affect my habit.

Another most important thing about jogging or any other exercise is to have proper sport wears else you will start disliking exercise. Today I had experience the same, wearing a long t-shirt which was very thick because I did not pay attention towards my t-shirt. That caused me lot of irritation 😦

I swear jogging cannot be done without any good sport wear. You must have it.

This Diwali I will gift myself or will ask my husband to present a good Nike sport wear 🙂

Jogging speed: Constant

How I started a New day – Day 5

It’s 5th day that I have started jogging. No wonder I could jog continuously for 20 min. without any breaks. Now the challenge is to maintain it & slowly increase the jogging limit. There are many ways to keep motivated however I need to explore different ways, need to implement new ideas to make jogging as fun & exciting activity.

Today I was thinking about how can i do it?

Chennai is blessed with second largest beach in Asia then why not give a try to go jogging on seashore. I & my husband decided that coming Saturday we will visit Marina beach & experience the sunrise. It’s going to be excited because first time I will be jogging on seashore plus I will see the sunrise. It reminded me the Diveagar trip . I experienced the dawn from the cottage near seashore in Diveagar, Pune.

One of the best track to experience jogging 🙂

My Previous days are here 1, 2, 3 & 4

How I started a New day – Day 4

The ideal competition should be with your past records.

I do jogging on road which is surrounded with a huge building. I can finish one round in 4 mins.

In last three days (1, 2 & 3) I finished jogging in 4 rounds. Today I increased the limit by one round.

Looking at my husband who left me far behind I just wanted to be at his level. But I was exhausted with 4 rounds. I just told myself to relax for a while & take a long breath. I took a break & made up my mind to complete 5th round. Consciously I did the last round because I don’t want to do anything wrong in hurry or excitement to carry injuries for a long run. After a break I got good amount of strength to cover the last round. Finally I felt that I won my own competition. It was exciting to see breaking your own records.

Now I made a record of jogging for 20 minutes! Next record should be 20 minutes without a break 🙂
